Cachasol Named a 2026 Sunset Travel Awards Winner
Sunset has named Cachasol a winner in the 2026 Sunset Travel Awards, in the What to Do: Food & Wine Experiences category. The awards, published on September 9, recognize the best places to eat, drink, stay and explore across the West, and this year's Food & Wine list includes 19 vineyards, tasting rooms and eating places.

There are a lot of agave-based spirits on the market these days, but this working tequila and raicilla distillery is unique in that it's set on a lush, off-the-beaten-path agave farm near the ultra-hip surf town of Sayulita. Their vibrant farm-to-glass tours include open-fire dinners at sunset and immersive culinary and mixology classes where visitors forage herbs in the garden and learn to create dishes reflective of the region of Nayarit.
We read that and recognized the place. The tour that ends at the table. The workshop where kids shake their own mocktails. The comedor with a few dozen seats and the sun going down behind the agave.
